    When you choose Black Diamond, we help you design a unique paver driveway with our Free Basic Digital Design. This lets you see every element of your paved driveway installation project, which makes it easy for you to modify or change your design — including paver type, stone type, color, and pattern — before anything gets installed.
  • Can you DIY a driveway?
    You can try to do a driveway yourself, but it will likely cost you more in the end than working with Black Diamond. Since 2004, we have handled the demolition and removal of the existing surface and avoided damage to underground utilities. We have over 20 years of experience professionally installing paver and natural-stone driveways, and we offer competitive pricing thanks to long-standing relationships with our suppliers.
  • What is the cost to install a driveway?
    Black Diamond's minimum installation requirement is around the size of a two-car driveway, or 250 sq ft, with the project minimum being around $6,500. On average, our driveway installation costs vary depending on project scope, size, materials, and the complexity of the design.
  • Is it cheaper to pour concrete or pavers?
    In the short term, pouring concrete is cheaper. However, concrete is difficult to maintain in pristine condition, which means more frequent and costly replacements over time — the only thing concrete is guaranteed to do is crack. Paver stones offer longer-lasting durability and are easier to repair: if a paver becomes damaged, we replace just the damaged one.
  • Are pavers a good idea for a driveway?
    Yes. Pavers are 3 to 4 times stronger than concrete and won't crack. They are more adaptable to the elements (including hot summers and chilly winters), easily maintained, and available in unique patterns that add a personalized flair to your driveway.
