On staircases and entryways, we hand-detail every cap and tread for a clean finish, and we recess low-voltage step lights into the risers wherever possible. The result is a feature that is safer at night and more dramatic when the rest of the house is lit.

    Yes. Retaining walls are one of the most useful features for sloped or uneven yards — they level the grade, prevent erosion, and turn previously unusable hillsides into flat, planted, or paved usable space.
  • Can you add lighting to my walls and steps?
    Yes. We integrate low-voltage step lights and wall-cap lights directly into our installations for added safety at night and a finished, ambient look. Lighting is added during construction so there's nothing to retro-fit later.
  • What materials do you use for walls and steps?
    We work primarily with Belgard wall systems — including Weston Wall, Tandem Wall, Highland Wall, and Belair — paired with the cap, coping, and paver line that matches the rest of your hardscape. We also work with natural stone and stucco-veneered block when the project calls for it.

  • How tall can a retaining wall be?
    Most residential retaining walls are designed under the height that requires a separate engineered drawing. For taller walls, or walls supporting structures or driveways, we design with our suppliers' engineering teams and pull the appropriate permits.
